Our Honey is raw and unpasteurized and comes straight from our hive. Get a true taste of the Canadian Prairies.
During each honey harvest, we collect hundreds of barrels of honey and we evaluate each one depending on moisture, colour, floral source, and taste. We choose only the best few barrels from our entire crop to pour into our retail pails, ensuring that our customers get only the best honey from each summer.
Our honey is gently strained to remove wax and other impurities while keeping the natural goodness intact. With its delicate floral notes and velvety sweetness, it’s perfect for drizzling over warm toast, stirring into tea, or adding a touch of nature’s sweetness to your favourite recipes.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged or you received the wrong item, please contact us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue. We will happily replace the item or issue a refund.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused.
Refunds
We will notify you when we have approved your return. You’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

All of our beeswax is rendered with a 300 foot-long solar panel array behind our honey house.
We’re happy to offer local pickup from our farm in Elgin, Manitoba. Simply select "Local Pickup" at checkout and we’ll contact you to arrange a convenient pickup time.

Established in 1962, we are a family-owned bee farm and beeswax making 100% pure Canadian beeswax and honey products. We render beeswax from our own hives, as well as for trusted beekeepers in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Ontario. All of our products are hand-made and hand-poured and perfect for candles, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.

What makes Prairie Sun Beeswax different from otherbeeswax brands?
We use only 100% pure Canadian beeswax, sustainably sourced and naturally charcoal filtered. Our beeswax is naturally honey-scented, additive-free, and hand-poured with care right here on our farm.
Is your beeswax filtered?
Yes, all of our beeswax is charcoal filtered to remove debris while retaining its natural colour, scent, and beneficial properties. We also offer ivory and white beeswax, which has been further filtered for a lighter hue and milder scent.
Do your beeswax candles contain any additives orscents?
No. Our candles are made from 100% pure beeswax with cotton wicks. The soft honey scent comes naturally from the wax—no added fragrance, paraffin, or soy.
Why do the colour and scent of beeswax vary?
Beeswax naturally varies in colour and scent depending on the flowers, pollen, and propolis in the hive. Over time, the colour may turn lighter, or the surface of the candle may become whiter. This is called beeswax bloom and a sign of authentic, untreated beeswax. You can leave the bloom alone or remove it with a little heat—running it under warm water or using a blow dryer.
